August 30th, 2025, 45W Air conditioner ODU BLDC motor Assembly line Inspection From India customer

Aug 30, 2025
On August 30th, 2025, a senior delegation from one of India’s leading home appliance manufacturers completed a comprehensive Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for their custom-built 45W ODU BLDC motor assembly line at Nantong Ocean Machinery’s production base. This successful inspection marks a critical milestone in our cross-border partnership, officially clearing the customized automation line for final packaging and shipping to the client’s facility in New Delhi.

As a trusted one-stop industrial automation manufacturer specializing in high-efficiency motor manufacturing solutions, Nantong Ocean Machinery has been supporting Indian manufacturers’ upgrade needs for years. This project was initiated back in early 2025, when our client approached us with an urgent demand: to transform their outdated conventional motor production line into a fully automated system, capable of manufacturing BLDC motors that meet India’s new Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) 5-star energy efficiency standards

After comparing quotes and capabilities from over 6 global automation suppliers, the client ultimately selected Nantong Ocean Machinery for our proven track record. Over the past 3 years, we have successfully delivered 5+ customized motor production lines to Indian manufacturers, with a 100% on-time delivery and commissioning rate. More importantly, our team has in-depth expertise in adapting our equipment to fully comply with India’s BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) regulations, eliminating the compliance risks that many international suppliers fail to address.

The 3-day on-site inspection covered every aspect of the assembly line, from individual equipment performance to full-line trial production. The client’s delegation, including their Production Director, Quality Manager, and senior technical engineers, conducted rigorous testing: they verified the line’s production capacity, confirming it can achieve the promised 17 seconds per piece output; they ran a 1000-unit trial production run, and the final defect rate was only 0.3%, far lower than the 0.5% we guaranteed; they also tested the line’s core functions, including the precision of the stator winding system, the accuracy of the CCD visual inspection module, and the stability of the remote monitoring platform. All test results exceeded the client’s expectations.

“Before this visit, we were a bit worried whether the line could really meet our strict requirements, given the tight timeline and the new regulatory standards,” said Mr. Prabhakar, the Production Director of the Indian client. “But after the on-site testing, we are fully impressed. This line is far more efficient and stable than our old production line. It will help us increase our production capacity by 40%, cut our manual labor cost by 70%, which directly solves our biggest pain point of skilled labor shortage in India. Most importantly, the BLDC motors produced by this line will fully meet the BEE 5-star standard, allowing us to capture the growing market demand for energy-efficient air conditioners.”

During their visit, the client also toured Nantong Ocean Machinery’s full production workshop, visiting our IDU motor production line testing area and automated packaging solution center. They expressed strong interest in our other automation solutions, and mentioned that they are planning to discuss further cooperation with our team in the next quarter, as they continue to upgrade their entire production facility.

To ensure a smooth transition, our team of certified engineers has already provided comprehensive on-site training for the client’s technical team during the inspection, covering daily operation, routine maintenance, and basic troubleshooting. We have also prepared all the necessary operation manuals and training videos in English, to ensure the client’s team can operate the line smoothly after delivery.
Following the successful inspection, we have started the final packaging and shipping preparation. The line is scheduled to be dispatched from Shanghai Port by the end of September, and is expected to arrive at New Delhi within 4 weeks. Once the equipment arrives, our engineer team will travel to India within 2 weeks to provide on-site installation, commissioning, and further operator training, ensuring the line will be fully operational within 30 days of delivery. This will give our client enough time to test and adjust the line, well ahead of the 2026 summer peak sales season.

For Nantong Ocean Machinery, this successful FAT is more than a single project delivery — it is a solid step forward in our long-term strategic layout in India’s booming industrial automation market. As demand for energy-efficient motor production technology continues to surge, driven by the new BEE regulations and the “Make in India” initiative, we are committed to providing local manufacturers with the customized, compliant, and reliable automation solutions they need to compete globally. This project not only empowers our client to upgrade their production capabilities but also contributes to India’s national goal of reducing energy consumption in the residential and commercial sectors.
